The DUI/Risk Reduction class is held one weekend of every month and the class schedule is as follows :

 Saturday and  Sunday 9am-6pm (lunch 1pm – 2pm) Monday 5:30pm-9:30pm.

  • First step- Call

  • Second step- The Appointment

    At your appointment you will be oriented to procedures, rules, and state regulations and sign necessary paperwork for the assessment.

How to find us! Coming from Dawson or Cumming: Magnum DUI and Defensive Driving School is located in Dahlonega, GA. We are in the gray building behind Chestatee Ford off Hwy 400.

Coming from Dahlonega: Travel south on Georgia 400 and turn left at the red light at Hwy 400 and Burnt Stand/ Lumpkin county Parkway. We are the gray building behind Chesatee Ford.

Coming from Murryville or Gainesville: Travel either Hwy 60 to 400 and then travel south just as coming from Dahlonega. Or, Take Price Road/136 to redlight at highway 400 and turn right. Take highway 400 north till you see chesatee Ford and turn right onto Lumpkin County Parkway and we are the gray building behind Chesatee Ford.

The Assessment must be completed prior to enrolling in the 20-hour DUI Risk Reduction course.

You will then take a 130 question self-assessment, cost $100.00

(Fee is set by State law). We accept Cash, Money Order, MasterCard, Visa, Discover or Debit cards as payment.

After the assessment you will then be oriented to procedures, rules, and state regulations and sign  necessary paperwork for the 20- Hour Risk Reduction Class.

The fee for the 20-hour course is $260.00 ($235.00 class fee + $25.00 book fee). This fee is set by State Law. The 20-hour course fee must be paid before the class starts.

Payment plan: DUI Class $100.00 has to be paid at sign up for the class and take their NEEDS Assessment. The balance is due the Friday one week prior to class starting on the following Saturday.  The balance of $260.00 can be paid then, or pay any amount at anytime up till the due date and then pay a balance. Payments can be mailed, called in, or brought to school.  We accept all major credit cards.

  • Third step- The 20-Hour Course

    You must attend the 20-hour in classroom course called DUI class by some, but is what the courts and the DDS call ” Risk Reduction Program.”

 The class schedule is as follows : 

We offer the DUI/Risk Reduction class one weekend of every month.

 Saturday and Sunday 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM (1 hour lunch from 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM) Students are given a quick break at 12:30 to call in a delivery for lunch.

 Monday 5:30 PM – 9:30 PM  

At the end of class on Monday night, you will receive a Certificate of Completion.

*Please be aware that the Department of Driver Services requires a minimum of 5 students per class. The DDS rules and regulation forbid late entry to any session of the course, so we suggest you arrive at least 10-15 minutes early to each session.

  • Fourth Step- Clinical Evaluation

    Make an appointment to sign the necessary paperwork to transfer your assessment results to the Clinical Evaluator you have chosen from the state approved DHR list that can be found on the DDS website or the following state approved website: 

We charge $25.00 to transfer your assessment results to the Clinical Evaluator of your choice.
